Leeds United transfer rumours as links to Club Brugge winger Noa Lang re-emerge

A round-up of the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Monday, 19 September.

Leeds United Noa Lang links re-emerge

Leeds United could reportedly renew their interest in Dutch winger Noa Lang during the January transfer window.

Lang, who plays for Club Brugge, was of interest to Leeds this summer but no move emerged.

But speaking on his YouTube channel, football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed Lang is available this January and will be of interest to plenty of clubs across Europe.

"Noa Lang, a player I really appreciate, I think he’s really underrated," said Romano.

"It’s true that Brugge already sold Charles de Ketelaere to AC Milan, but Noa Lang was available on the market.

"He will be available in the future transfer windows, so a really important and interesting opportunity.

"He was on the list of Leeds for example, and also some other clubs around Europe were tracking him, especially in Italy. But now, Noa Lang, is still available on the market, so a missed opportunity."

If Lang is available this January, it will be interesting to see if Leeds decide to go in for the 23-year-old.

The loan exit of Dan James has left the Whites slightly short out wide, making signing a winger a priority for Leeds at the turn of the year.

Leeds set to battle it out with Premier League elite for Limerick starlet

Leeds United are reportedly battling it out with Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the race to sign Linfield teenager Cole Brannigan.

The Northern Ireland U16 midfielder has been attracting plenty of attention recently and would fit the model of young player Leeds are trying to sign at the moment.

According to the Sun's Alan Nixon, Manchester City are said to be leading the charge for Brannigan.

"Manchester City are trying to win the race for Northern Ireland midfield prospect Cole Brannigan," writes Nixon.

"City have had the Linfield teenager in on trial as they close on a deal ahead of three major Premier League rivals.

"Chelsea have been trying for Brannigan who has also got Leeds and Liverpool on his tail.

"The under-16 cap seems certain to move shortly and City hope their prestigious academy system attracts him most."
