Harrison knock-on effect?
Jack Harrison could leave Leeds now Jesse Marsch has left the club. An observation made by our sister outlet, LeicestershireLive, suggests a fresh face may decide against keeping the 26-year-old at Elland Road.
In January, Leicester City were reportedly interested in the winger. Harrison has polarised supporters ever since with underwhelming performances in 2022-23.
Marsch said last year: “When offers come in, players have to consider what that might be and what that might look like. I don’t fault anyone for visiting the possibility of what it could be, but in the end, once we got all the decision-makers to align themselves, we all realised Jack has to stay.”
Interest to fade
Similar to Harrison’s exit talk, incomings are likely to be affected by Marsch’s exit too. South Korean outlet JoonGang suggest interest in Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan should fade now the American is no longer in charge.
The 27-year-old is yet to score a Premier League goal this season but impressed at the World Cup, scoring a stoppage-time goal against Portugal. A former Marsch player at Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Leipzig, a Yorkshire move now appears unlikely.
Raul snub
Reports in Spain suggest Real Madrid legend Raul has rejected an approach to become Leeds manager. His compatriot, Andoni Iraola, is one of the firm favourites to land the vacant gig.
The Rayo Vallecano boss has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising managers, with his side sitting fifth in La Liga. His managerial credentials are more thorough than Raul’s, who is currently in charge of Real Madrid second string Castilla.
