Leeds United face competition for AZ Alkmaar striker
Aston Villa and Leeds United have been linked with a move for AZ Alkmaar’s Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis. According to Jeunes Footeux, the 24-year-old is ‘coveted’ by the two Premier League sides after impressing in the Eredivisie this season.
The Greek international has notched 19 goals and 10 assists in 29 games in all competitions. The report claims the Villains and the Whites are the only two sides tracking the striker, who is third in the overall Eredivisie goal scoring charts.

Leeds have utilised the top flight in the Netherlands in recent seasons, signing Luis Sinisterra and made their approach for Cody Gakpo public last summer. Pavlidis' contract at Alkmaar runs until the summer of 2025 and has a reported asking price of £25million.
Whites 'win the race' to sign Barcelona talent
Leeds United may have won the race for Barcelona youngster Ilias Akhomach, with the La Liga club accepting that he is leaving the Nou Camp. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Whites are the front runners to sign the young forward.
Akhomach's contract is set to expire at the Nou Camp this summer and Victor Orta has spoken about the youngster, confirming the Whites interest.
Barcelona chiefs Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff had reportedly tried to ‘save the situation’ and keep both Akhomach and Víctor Barberá at the club.
