Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Thursday, September 22.
Gakpo told he "can do more" than Leeds
Former Netherlands and PSV Eindhoven winger Rene van de Kerfhof believes Cody Gakpo "can do more" than Leeds United and Southampton.
Leeds were linked with Gakpo in the summer but failed to get a transfer over the line despite Victor Orta flying out to Eindhoven on transfer deadline day.

Van de Kerfhof told Football 365: "But without being silly, I think he will be the revelation of the World Cup. He can play football so well, he always plays well against top teams,” Van de Kerfhof said.
“I see him excelling at the World Cup and becoming the surprise of the tournament. This summer there weren’t really any clubs that suit him. Leeds United, Southampton… I don’t disdain those clubs, but Gakpo can do more. I don’t think England really suits him anyway, Spain or Italy are more obvious.”
Leeds keep tabs on La Liga goalkeeper
Leeds and West Ham United are monitoring Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, according to a report from Fichajes.net.
The Moroccan international has a contract which runs until 2024 and Sevilla could be forced to sell him for a transfer fee next summer before he heads into the final year of his contract.
Bounou initially joined Sevilla on loan from Girona in 2019 before signing on a permanent basis the following summer. He has conceded just 92 times in 111 games and has registered 52 clean sheets in the process for Los Nervionenses.
Brereton-Diaz an option next summer
The Daily Mail have claimed that Leeds would 'take' Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton-Diaz on a free transfer next summer if he doesn't agree a move with a European club.
Brereton-Diaz is currently in the final year of his contract at Ewood Park and can sign a pre-contract agreement with any club in Europe in January. Villarreal, Valencia and Celta Vigo will watch the Rovers forward when he plays for Chile against Morocco in Barcelona next Friday.
Blackburn turned down bids from Fulham and Everton on transfer deadline day, while Leeds were also linked with Brereton-Diaz in the summer.
The 23-year-old scored 22 times in 37 games in the Championship last term and has already found the net four times in 10 league games this term.
