Leeds United transfer rumours as Che Adams 'to leave' Southampton if Saints get relegated

Here are your latest Leeds United transfer rumours for Saturday, March 25.

Che Adams 'to leave' Southampton

Che Adams is set to leave Southampton at the end of the season should the Saints get relegated, according to Football Insider.

The report states that Leeds are admirers of the striker and are ready and waiting to make a move for Adams should the south coast club drop down to the Championship come May. Everton are also believed to be circling for the 26-year-old as Southampton face a battle to keep hold of Adams if they fail to retain their top-flight status.

Ruben Selles' side currently sit 20th in the table, but are just four points off Crystal Palace in 12th-place. Relegation for any club would likely see rival teams cherry-pick the best of their remaining squad and now it seems that Leeds are already planning for that eventuality at Southampton as they themselves look to stay in the Premier League for the 2023/24 campaign.

Pirce tag for former target Charles De Ketelaere tumbles

Elsewhere, Leeds have reportedly held a long-term interest in AC Milan star Charles de Ketelaere and now it is thought that the 21-year-old is available for as little as £17million, despite the club having a £35m bid rejected last summer.

That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that the Whites would only have to pay half of what they originally offered last season. A deal looked set for the midfielder to move to Elland Road, before the Serie A club swooped in and agreed a fee with Club Brugge for his services.

Since swapping Club Brugge for AC Milan, De Ketelaere has struggled to find his feet in Italy and has registered just one assist in 31 appearances across all competitions. It is this form that could see the Italian side wash their hands of him so quickly, as Premier League sides weigh up whether they can find a way to unleash the potential that he has shown in the past.
