Leeds United transfer rumours as breakthrough international star 'offered' to Whites

Here are your latest Leeds United transfer rumours for Sunday, April 9.

Leeds United 'offered' Italian international forward Mateo Retegui

Italian international Mateo Retegui has been 'offered' to a number of clubs across Europe, including Leeds United.

That is according to 90Min, who claim Retegui has also been offered to Brentford, Everton and Leicester City, as well as Burnley, who earned promotion to the Premier League on Friday.

There has been interest across Europe, with AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli and Atletico Madrid among those weighing up a move for the 23-year-old.

Retegui was born and raised in Argentina, and has scored 29 goals in 51 appearances during his loan spell at Tigre. He is contracted to Boca Juniors, but has only played once for the Argentinian heavyweights.

He was presented with his international debut by Roberto Mancini during the latest international break, and marked his Italy breakthrough with two goals in as many caps.

The forward has recently revealed his intentions of moving to Europe, although he admitted that Serie A is his preferred destination.

Weston McKennie's permanent arrival latest

Leeds United will convert Weston McKennie's loan deal into a permanent transfer from Juventus if they survive relegation at the end of the season.

McKennie joined Leeds from Juventus on loan until the end of the season in January with the option to buy for a reported fee of £30 million.

The United States international has amassed 10 Premier League appearances during his stint at Elland Road, and is expected to remain a regular during the latter stages of the season due to Tyler Adams' injury.

And according to Calciomercato, Leeds will fend off interest from other clubs by signing him on a permanent deal until 2027 in the summer.

If Leeds don't manage to avoid the drop then McKennie is expected to either stay at Juventus, or move to another club.
