Here are your Leeds United transfer rumours on Saturday, July 9.
Barcelona contract decision could impact Raphinha transfer
Leeds United's star winger, Raphinha, has been subject to interest from Barcelona ever since early 2022 but the Spanish side have been unable to make a transfer happen thus far in the transfer window.
That's due to acute financial issues for the Catalan club, alongside an unwillingness to meet Leeds' asking price for the player. In recent days, it has been said that Barcelona have got closer to matching Leeds' valuation of the player.
However, there may now be an additional complication, as Ousmane Dembele had been expected to leave the club but now seems set to agree a new contract at a reduced salary. Given that he plays in the same position as the Brazilian, this could mean that Barcelona won't make any further bids for Raphinha.

Leeds 'talking' about an experienced goalkeeper
Whilst Leeds are only aiming for one more major outfield signing this summer, they are also keen on signing another goalkeeper to backup Illan Meslier next season, according to the Athletic. On the podcast, 'The Phil Hay Show', it was reported: "They have been talking about a second-choice goalkeeper; a new second-choice goalkeeper. Although, I’m not aware of any movement on that front."
The Whites currently have Kristoffer Klaesson as the backup to Meslier, however the Norwegian is only 21-years-old and struggled in the Under 23s side last season.
Whites have been 'looking at some exciting names'
Victor Orta remains in the market for another forward this summer and the Whites are most strongly linked to Club Brugge's Charles De Keteleare. However, a couple of other forwards continue to be linked to the club and Give Me Sport are reporting that Orta will return for one of the other 'exciting names' which have previously been linked to the club before De Keteleare's name emerged as Leeds' first-choice.
"We know that they’ve been looking at some other really exciting names," said Dean Jones. "Noa Lang is a long-term target, somebody that they definitely like. Gakpo is definitely admired and somebody that they’ve had on their list."
