Jesse Marsch has made three changes to his Leeds United starting XI to face Newcastle United at St James’ Park this afternoon. The Whites have lost their last two in the Premier League but they’ll be keen to end the calendar year on a high with a win over the Champions League chasing Magpies.
Tyler Adams comes into the starting XI this afternoon. He missed the defeat to Manchester City through suspension, but he’s eligible to be involved today and he’ll take a place in the midfield.
Adam Forshaw keeps his spot, while Sam Greenwood drops out of the line-up and moves to the bench. The Sunderland-born midfielder will be keen to get on and make a difference in the North East, though, that’s for certain.

Marc Roca drops to the bench after enduring a difficult night against City. Wilfried Gnonto deservedly keeps his spot, though, after being one of Leeds’ best last time out and he’s joined in the side by Jack Harrison.
Harrison has recently overcome an adductor issue and he’s fit to play against the Magpies. Crysencio Summerville must make do with a bench spot, once more.
Rasmus Kristensen drops to the bench, too, with Luke Ayling given a rare start at right-back.
Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk; Adam Forshaw, Tyler Adams; Wilfried Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison; Rodrigo.
Bench: Joel Robles, Diego Llorente, Junior Firpo, Sam Greenwood, Crysencio Summerville, Joe Gelhardt, Mateusz Klich, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca
