Leeds United supporters rue Patrick Bamford miss after 'two points dropped' Leicester draw

Leeds United supporters were left to wonder 'what if?' following Patrick Bamford's 90th-minute miss after their 1-1 draw against relegation rivals Leicester City at Elland Road tonight.

The Whites thought they'd gone 1-0 down after just seven minutes, when James Maddison's corner could only be cleared to Youri Tielemans, whose 20-yarder went flying into the top left corner.

Fortunately, Boubakary Soumaré was stood in an offside position in the build-up leaving Leeds to break the deadlock just 10 minutes later.

A beautiful cross from Jack Harrison found Luis Sinisterra at the back post, who met the ball with a strong header to fire it past Daniel Iverson to send Elland Road into a frenzy.

A back-and-forth second half saw both sides have clear-cut chances, with Illan Meslier making enormous, potentially relegation-avoiding saves to keep the Foxes at bay.

Unfortunately, he couldn't keep them out forever as Jamie Vardy fired home for the 135th time in his Premier League career with just 10 minutes of normal time remaining.

As the clock ticked over the 90 minutes, Patrick Bamford had the best chance of the entire game for the Whites, but couldn't convert from an open space two yards out at the back post.

Whites fans flooded to social media to discuss the draw, which did little to alleviate the supporters' concerns about the looming relegation zone.
