Leeds United supporters outline manager demand after Championship fixture release

Leeds United fans have urged the club to quickly appoint a new manager following the fixture release for the upcoming Championship campaign. The Whites begin life back in the second tier with a televised home fixture against Cardiff City on August 6, with clashes against Birmingham City, Ipswich Town and West Brom before the end of the month.

It has now been three weeks since Leeds confirmed interim boss Sam Allardyce would leave the club by mutual agreement following his failed effort to keep the club in the Premier League. The ex-England boss could only muster one point from the final four fixtures, with a humbling defeat to Tottenham at Elland Road extinguishing any faint hopes of avoiding relegation.

Daniel Farke and Patrick Vieira are the bookmakers' current favourites for the vacant post, with Carlos Corberan, Raul Gonzalez and Scott Parker also linked. The new manager will likely face a significant overhaul of the senior squad, with the likes of Tyler Adams, Jack Harrison, Ilan Meslier and Rodrigo among the players tipped to depart.

The fixtures for the new season were released on Thursday morning, confirming United's return to a 46-game calendar following their three-year stay in the Premier League.
