Leeds United fans have named Rodrigo Moreno as the club’s Player of the Season despite a campaign which has offered little to shout about.
After the season the club have just had, few could blame supporters for shunning any talk of player awards and cancelling the metaphorical end of season ceremony.
But despite the woes, fans continued to turn up and support their team at Elland Road and beyond, a loyalty that won’t have gone unnoticed within the dressing room.
And there are players who can still hold their heads high despite ending the campaign five points from safety in 19th place in the Premier League. One of those men is Rodrigo, who netted 15 goals on his way to his best personal season in a Whites shirt since his £30 million move three years ago.

And fans have rewarded those performances by naming him as their stand out player from the season just gone, with hundreds of supporters taking part in the vote held by Leeds Live over the past month.
The Spain international earned 55% of the vote to see off fellow nominees Tyler Adams, Wilfried Gnonto and Max Wober. The finalists were selected by our team of Leeds United writers.
Adams was the closest challenger to Rodrigo with 26% of the vote, with Adams and Wober following in third and fourth respectively.
