Leeds United fans have been reacting to the news that Victor Orta has left the club by mutual consent.
Orta arrived at Elland Road as sporting director in May 2017, and was responsible for appointing Marcelo Bielsa and signing a number of the players that lifted the Championship title in 2020
The Spaniard has come under increasing criticism in recent times however, with the club currently battling their second consecutive Premier League relegation battle after a number of transfer misfires.

There have been far more misses than hits since the start of the season, and many Leeds fans agree with the decision to part ways with Orta.
@jkmcnamara Thank you Victor, you brought us Bielsa and for that alone you will always be well thought of for me. No need to get hung up on everything else, good luck in the future.
@nigelLUFC Yes, Victor Orta has made shocking mistakes. But surely we are in the Premier League partly because of the decisions that he actually got right.
@bobert_038 Thanks for all the good times Victor! There’s plenty to say.. but you’ll always be the man responsible for some of the most memorable scenes!
@AdamAnderson864 As a fan. I really appreciate everything that Victor has done for Leeds United. It's unfortunate that these past couple of years didn't go as planned. A lot of the positive memories from the past several years wouldn't be possible without Victor. Thank you Victor!
@KGlufc The post-Bielsa era has been a mess and Orta has had a big part in that. This is the correct decision. Regardless, he got us Bielsa and some excellent players. I still want to thank him for that massively
@TimHoolohan Thanks for the Bielsa era. You were well out of your depth after he took us up.
@vitalleeds No fan is saddened or upset. This has took the sting out of being relegated.
@JamieKilmartin Being let off lightly Radz here. He’s the one who’s got the club in this mess and now doesn’t have to face the crowd on the final two home fixtures. Good riddance.
@mccharlesworth10 Thanks for everything. Huge role in taking us back up. Gone a bit sour after that unfortunately. Times right. All the best.
@LeedsSouthWest Unfortunately too late to stop the bleeding. It was clear before the World Cup that things were going wrong on and off the field. Hopefully lessons will be learned and we can regroup, refresh, and reinforce the team for a promotion push next season under Sam.
