Leeds United supporters give verdict as Jesse Marsch 'set' to become Southampton manager

Leeds United supporters have had a mixed reaction to the news that Jesse Marsch is reportedly on the brink of becoming Southampton's new manager.

According to the Athletic, Marsch is set to become the new head coach at the south coast club following Nathan Jones' sacking last week. They report that the American held initial talks with the Saints on Monday, where both parties discussed the length of a potential contract.

Marsch left his position at Elland Road just shy of 12 months in charge after enduring a poor run of form that saw Leeds without a win in the Premier League since November. The club are still searching for a replacement with a handful of names being tipped for the job - yet none have materialised so far.

Jones was dismissed as Southampton boss shortly after Marsch. A three-month spell in charge saw the Welshman only win one match as fans grew tired with his management of their club. They now appear to have found their new man to spearhead their charge away from the foot of table.

As news of Marsch's seemingly imminent move to St Mary's emerged, Leeds supporters took to social media to share their thoughts on the American's potential new job.
