Leeds United supporters have their eyes firmly set on the Whites' return to Premier League action after American duo Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson were knocked out of the FIFA World Cup following a 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands.
The USA won several plaudits following their performances in Group B, including a 0-0 draw against England, and were also the only side in the tournament not to concede a goal from open play during the group stages.
However, overcoming Louis van Gaal's side proved one step too many for the Stars and Stripes as they were denied a first World Cup quarter-final appearance in 20 years.

Memphis Depay put Oranje ahead in Qatar after just 10 minutes with an emphatic finish before another former Manchester United man, this time Daley Blind, doubled the Dutch advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Making his fourth successive appearance from the bench, Aaronson instantly impacted proceedings by providing the assist for Haji Wright's unconventional effort. Though, Denzel Dumfries swiftly allayed fears of an American comeback by converting Blind's cross.
Here's how Leeds fans reacted to the result on social media. It is safe to say they are embracing the return of two key figures...
@pikamagomedov - At least Tyler Adams and Aaronson can rest now #lufc
@FlyTheWhiteRose - Right, that’s all the current #LUFC players out of the World Cup. Back to Thorp Arch you lot and Jesse Marsch, we’ve got work to do! P.S: Now we can also cheer on Kalvin Phillips to go for our Yorkshire Pirlo to go and win this thing! #FIFAWorldCup
@billywigwam13 - Did well but Van Gaal’s tactics just too clever for USA but at least we get Adams & Aaronson back, along with Kristensen from Denmark, with the chance for a little rest & ready to go when we restart. Of course, we won’t have Adams for the Man City game.
@rgclt - Back to Leeds for them. More time to work out the tactical masterclass over Man City.
@WWELUFC - One positive to USA losing in the round of 16... Tyler Adams & Brendan Aaronson come back early.
@Slimtons - First flight to Leeds Bradford for the lads. Get working on the 4-3-3 shape with Tyler in CDM.
@SmithLeedsUtd - Sorry you are out lads, safe journey home #LUFC #USA
@Bobster49213538 - Good, they can have a rest now!
@daveinupton - Be good to get the whole squad back sooner than expected.
@crighters11 - Leeds players back early got to be good.
