Leeds United are expecting several players to leave Thorp Arch later this month to link up their respective national teams. It’s an important time on the international scene as the FIFA World Cup in Qatar approaches.
September’s games will be the final chance for a number of Leeds players to impress ahead of the tournament. Some already look assured of their seat on the plane, given their recent form for both club and country, while others will feel as though they have work to do over the next few weeks.
As such, standards will be high within camps, particularly in Europe with key Nations League games being played. Of course, some of Leeds international stars don’t have the World Cup to look forward to after failing to qualify, but they’ll still be keen to catch the eye and learn amongst some of the most talented players in world football.

Mateusz Klich – Poland
Klich will be keen to nail down his spot in the Polish World Cup squad by performing well in Nations League games against Wales and the Netherlands.
Kristoffer Klaesson and Leo Hjelde – Norway Under-21s
Norway have already qualified for next summer’s championships, but they’ll be taking on both Switzerland and Spain in friendlies this month.
