Leeds United squad revealed for Brighton clash with key bench decisions to make

Jesse Marsch has some big decisions to make as to who he includes on his bench for Leeds United's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.

After completing 45 minutes against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, captain Liam Cooper comes back into Marsch's thoughts. The American has said that Cooper is 'ready' for this weekend, although he is unsure as to what role he'll take up.

With some minutes now under his belt, he could appear in a Premier League squad for the first time this season. If Cooper does return, then it's likely that Leo Hjelde will be the player to drop out of the squad.

In the words of Marsch, 'the big question mark' this weekend comes in the form of Patrick Bamford. The striker was left out of the squad against Chelsea and Barnsley after being forced off at Southampton with an injury.

Bamford is progressing well, but with Leeds in such good form - and in particular Rodrigo, who has played as the lone striker in his place - there is no need to rush the 28-year-old back. Therefore, Cooper's return seems the only likely change to the squad that thrashed Chelsea last weekend.

Full Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Kristoffer Klaesson, Ramus Kristensen, Cody Drameh, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, Adam Forshaw, Marc Roca, Tyler Adams, Mateusz Klich, Dan James, Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra, Sam Greenwood, Crysencio Summerville, Rodrigo, Joe Gelhardt.
