Leeds United snubbed for Premier League TV coverage as Chelsea game ignored by broadcasters

The Premier League have announced a revised schedule for fixtures in March and none of Leeds United's games have been selected to be broadcast on television, including a trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

All three of Leeds' top-flight fixtures in Matchweeks 26-28 (March 4 to 19) haven not been chosen by broadcasters for television coverage in the latest round of games. Instead, the Whites' matches away to Chelsea and Wolves and at home to Brighton have all been confirmed for a 3pm (GMT) kick-off slot on their respective Saturdays.

Current rules mean that Saturday 3pm kick-offs cannot be broadcast live, meaning that for those unable to travel to Stamford Bridge and Molineux, they will not be able to legally watch the game in the UK as it happens. Brighton's trip to Elland Road will allow home fans able to get a ticket to go and see their side in action against the Seagulls.

Leeds' confirmed fixtures, dates and times (GMT) for March:

  • Chelsea vs Leeds - Saturday 4th March - 3pm

  • Leeds vs Brighton - Saturday 11th March - 3pm

  • Wolves vs Leeds* - Saturday 18th March - 3pm

*Subject to FA Cup participation

Leeds' previous two matches away to Everton (18 Feb) and at home to Southampton (28 Feb) are also scheduled for Saturday 3pm kick-offs. That means that for five weeks in a row, Jesse Marsch's side will not be broadcast live on television in the Premier League - but fans will be able to enjoy a rare run of Saturday 3pm kick-offs.
