Club Brugge's 21-year-old star, Charles De Ketelaere emerged as a player Leeds were interested in last week and, according to reports, they are set to firm up that interest next week, as they are said to be preparing a bid for the forward. However, they will face competition from Italian champions, AC Milan.
According to the Athletic, Leeds see the Belgian - labeled 'the next De Bruyne' as 'somebody who can fill the role of a second striker or a false nine', as Leeds look to add more options up front, follow a season where Patrick Bamford was injured for the majority of it. Meanwhile, the Daily Mail add the detail that Victor Orta 's first bid will be for £26million.
De Ketelaere is extremely highly rated in his home country, having already made eight appearances for the national team, with many expecting him to be the fulcrum of the team in the future. The forward had an exceptional season in 21/22, playing a key role - alongside another Leeds link in Noa Lang - in his side winning the Belgian Pro League. The 21-year-old managed 18 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, as he played in several different attacking roles for the Belgian Champions.
