Leeds United are likely to bid farewell to last season's star performer Rodrgio Moreno with Real Madrid among a number of clubs circling. The Spaniard enjoyed his best return in a Whites' shirt last term with 15 goals and two assists in all competitions and would undoubtedly be one of the best players in the Championship if he were to stay at Elland Road.
However, a reported release clause of £3million in his current deal, which is a bargain for clubs looking to add strength in depth to their squad. The 32-year-old veteran is eying a place in Spain's European Championship squad next summer and if he produces a campaign like the one just gone, he'll be in with a good shout.
Nonetheless, a call-up to his international side would be given a shot in the arm if a purple patch comes in one of Europe's top leagues next season. A closer look at his stats from last term highlight just how important Rodrigo was to Leeds' campaign - even if it did result in relegation.
Macro-Football, a statistical-based website which compares both attacking and defensive metrics from players across the top leagues in Europe, had a glowing report for Rodrigo. The Spaniard returned an 89 rating overall, with an offensive impact of 86 and a defensive impact of 81.

By far his best statistic, was his 98-rated finishing impact - ranking him among the best in Europe. Rodrigo showed similarities to some top strikers last season and replacing him with a player of a similar ilk will be an impossible task.
Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez had a 95.5 per cent similarity to the Whites' striker last year, while fellow Inter frontman Edin Dzeko boasted a 95.4 percent comparison, as did Romelu Lukaku. The fact Rodrigo compares with three strikers who reached the Champions League final - with all three scoring at least 16 goals last season - is a testament to his form last year.
Bayern Munich's Eric Maxim Chuopo Moting has a 95.4 per cent similarity while Tottenham's Arnaut Danjuma had the same comparison rating. It's fair to say Leeds United would be unable to tempt any of those to Elland Road next season, but also shines a light on the player they had at the club, albeit one that has not hit the heights expected until last term.
