Police closed off Elland Road stadium today after reports of a 'security threat' received last night.
West Yorkshire Police officers barred off the entrances to the home of Leeds United while they investigated whether the security threat was credible. Police said they received reports of the threat at 9.49pm yesterday (Thursday, March 23).
A barrier was still up outside the stadium as of around 2pm today (Friday, March 24), with several police vehicles still present. The road looks to have reopened since though a cordon is still in place at the scene.

Reports began emerging on social media earlier this morning of police being at Elland Road and staff inside having been evacuated. One person told LeedsLive they'd been asked to leave the building around 9.30am.
Police then issued this statement: "Police were called to attend at Elland Road football stadium following reports of a security threat to the premises. Investigations are currently ongoing to establish the credibility of that threat. The report was received at 9:49pm last night."
The scene from the outside remained fairly similar from about 11.45am onwards, with officers guarding the barriers to make sure no one came in.
Leeds United also issued a statement, saying: "Leeds United’s offices, ticket office, Foundation offices and club shop at Elland Road will be closed until further notice on the advice of the police. We apologise for any inconvenience and we will inform the public when normal service resumes."
LeedsLive contacted Counter Terrorism Police North East, who said around 1pm that they were 'not currently involved' with the situation. A cordon is thought to still be in place at the scene, and no updates have been issued since the statements from police and Leeds United earlier.
