Leeds United's ongoing dispute with RB Leipzig over Jean-Kevin Augustin could reportedly impact upon whether or not the former are able to sign midfielder Tyler Adams this summer. With Leeds set to sell Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City for £42m, the Whites need to find a midfield replacement for their departing star man.
Leipzig's Adams is one name who has been heavily linked with a move to Elland Road, and has previously worked alongside Leeds boss Jesse Marsch during his time in Germany. However, German outlet Kicker report Leipzig are unlikely to entertain any dealings with Leeds over Adams while their on-going legal dispute around Augustin's transfer is still live.
Augustin joined Leeds on loan from Leipzig in January 2020. A then highly sort-after prospect who reportedly turned down Manchester United, Augustin was said to have an obligation to buy clause in his contract with Leeds should they get promoted.
