Leeds United are among a host of teams backed to be battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season. FiveThirtyEight’s supercomputer - which uses statistical information and detailed data analysis to calculate how the Premier League table will finish in May – thinks Leeds will end the season in 13th place, but still only three points above the bottom three.
The Whites have picked up just two points from their last five matches but the competitive nature of the bottom half so far suggests it is going to be a tightly contested season. With 29 points, the only side expected to be cut adrift come the end of the campaign is Nottingham Forest.
Fellow newly promoted sides Bournemouth and Fulham are also predicted to go down despite their solid starts, but not with the want of trying. The Cherries are expected to finish on 37 points, just two behind Fulham, who finish only in the bottom three on goal difference behind Southampton and Wolves.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Manchester City are predicted to secure their third consecutive title, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur making up the remainder of the top four.
