Leeds United (4-2-3-1)
1 Illan Meslier
Not much he could do about the goals. Didn't have to pull off too many other saves. 6
25 Rasmus Kristensen
Like the rest of the defence, was guilty of getting sucked into the ball for the second goal and leaving Harvey Barnes free. Showed willingness to get forward, but didn't have the quality to cut the hosts open. 5
5 Robin Koch
His run of what felt like flawless defensive performances come to an end. One of the better players in a difficult start to the season, but completely messed up a simple slide for the opening goal. Hooked at the break. 4

14 Diego Llorente
Some pieces of poor judgement, but also a couple of important interventions at points when the defence was under the cosh. 5
3 Junior Firpo
Consistently left space in behind as he roamed forward from left-back. No memorable clangers for him personally. 5
12 Tyler Adams
Continues to be one of, if not, the best players in the team. Anticipates danger frequently, gets his foot in and makes turnovers for Leeds. So tenacious and combative. 7
8 Marc Roca
Caught in possession for the opening goal. Nowhere near as assertive in the middle as he was on Sunday. Hooked at the break. 5
10 Crysencio Summerville
Had a couple of decent looks at goal in the first half and fluffed them both. Still doesn't look able to make an impression at this level with these defences. Looks hurried and crowded out of every decent position he takes. 5
7 Brenden Aaronson
By far the team's biggest attacking threat. Carried the ball well and found team-mates in decent positions for shots at goal. Such quick feet at close quarters in tight spots. 6
23 Luis Sinisterra
Some decent flashes of threat, but not doing it on anywhere near a consistent enough basis to turn games in United's favour. 5
9 Patrick Bamford (c)
Anonymous. A combination of the tactics and his fitness made him look redundant on the night. Always a yard away from where he needs to be when deliveries come into the box. 4
Substitutes
13 Kristoffer Klaesson
2 Luke Ayling
6 Liam Cooper (on for Koch h/t)
A second-half clean sheet. No major dramas from the captain. Should have done better with a rare chance in the opposition box. 6
11 Jack Harrison (on for Bamford 65min)
Didn't bring anything to concern the hosts. 5
19 Rodrigo (on for Roca h/t)
End product not always there, including another dodgy pass to the opposition in his own half, but played with heart and grafted to get his team out of their pit. 6
29 Wilfried Gnonto
30 Joe Gelhardt (on for Sinisterra 75min)
A switch which drew the ire of the away fans because of who came off. N/A
42 Sam Greenwood
43 Mateusz Klich (on for Firpo 81min)
A late switch to chase the match. N/A
