Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Sunday, May 8.
Big day in the relegation battle
Today marks another massive day in the battle to avoid relegation in the Premier League. Both Leeds and Everton have been given a pre-match boost from Burnley’s heavy home defeat against Aston Villa yesterday.
The two teams are in action at 2pm later today as Jesse Marsch takes his side to the Emirates to face Arsenal while the Toffees are at King Power Stadium where they face Leicester. Wins for either team would take them above the Clarets and vastly strengthen hopes of remaining in the top flight.

By the same stretch, another defeat would leave things as they were heading into the weekend and further increase the chance of the relegation battle going right down to the wire.
Leeds fans urge Marsch to make significant change for Gunners trip
Marsch will have a few big decisions to make regarding his team selection in North London this afternoon. The main one concerns Liam Cooper whose fitness will have been closely monitored ever since he pulled out in the warm up before the Manchester City defeat.
Leeds supporters are, once again, hoping to see Joe Gelhardt included in the starting XI in a formation which would operate with two strikers. We asked for the team that fans would choose for the visit to Arsenal and the 20-year-old was an overwhelming favourite alongside Rodrigo in the frontline.

Martin Keown fears for Leeds in relegation battle
Key wins for Everton and Burnley in recent weeks have dragged Leeds right back into the battle at the bottom and many pundits have expressed worry for the Whites. Martin Keown is the latest to claim that Marsch’s side could be in real trouble, especially if they come away from Arsenal empty-handed.
"I now fear for Leeds and I thought they’d done enough to scramble clear after they won 3-2 at Wolves,” he said on Football Focus.
"I look at their fixtures now and they’ve got Arsenal away, Chelsea - that is a tough game - and Brighton. Really tough for them. I think their fixtures are a little bit more difficult than the rest, perhaps."
