Weston McKennie gives Leeds United the green light
The Juventus midfielder has emerged as a potential option for the club entering into the last week of the January transfer window. McKennie would join compatriots Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson if he made the move to Elland Road and of course be coached by fellow American Jesse Marsch.
And according to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, McKennie is a fan of the deal. It is reported that the 23-year-old has given the Whites the 'ok' for a move to the Premier League.

His Serie A side are currently battling a 15-point deduction in the Italian top flight and rumours of McKennie being unsettled in Turin have begun to grow. Marsch will hope that his side can offer him an escape route, as Di Marzio states that negotiations are 'progressing' as the deadline approaches.
Tyler Adams talks Brenden Aaronson, stereotypes and respect
Tyler Adams has revealed that himself and Brenden Aaronson "don't take a day off from being competitive" and claimed that people have "never really respected" football players from America until recently.
Adams and Aaronson have quickly become an instrumental part of Jesse Marsch's side since arriving this summer. The pair have both been almost ever-present when available since signing in the summer.
The US influence at Leeds extends beyond the pitch, with the San Francisco 49ers' investment arm - 49ers Enterprises - currently holding a minority share of the club, with a full takeover expected to follow this year.
Leeds' two important exits to see through this month
Less than one week of the transfer window remains for Leeds United and there are still some loan decisions to make at Elland Road. While permanent deals will always catch the eye and have the biggest impact on the squad, there is temporary business to attend to with a long-term effect on the club.
Joe Gelhardt’s switch is still rattling along. While Wigan Athletic were confident of sealing the loan move at the back end of last week, Sunderland’s late push to get him involved in a play-off run has put the cat among the pigeons.
Naturally, all parties are taking as much time as they need with a big decision for a player who hopes to have a bright future at Elland Road. The Latics can offer him familiarity, while the Black Cats may well give him a taste of what a promotion chase feels like.
