Here are the Leeds United evening headlines on Monday, February 6.
Eric Wynalda makes 'Dyche effect' claim after 'puzzling' Jesse Marsch sacking
Former USMNT star Eric Wynalda has called Leeds United's decision to sack manager Jesse Marsch 'puzzling' amid claims they did so based on other results over the weekend.
Marsch's final match in charge of the Whites saw them fall in a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest after Brennan Johnson's 14th-minute goal saw Leeds slip six points behind the Reds who are now in 13th.
The result leaves the Yorkshire side in 17th, level on points with Everton in 18th, and just three points above bottom-of-the-league Southampton but despite this season's woes so far, Wynalda aimed the blame at new Everton boss Sean Dyche

"This is a result driven business first and foremost and this decision is a reflection of that," Marsch's compatriot told Action Network after the club announcement was made.
"However, the club's more recent moves, including adding a new member on the staff and McKennie during the window, make this abrupt change puzzling.
"You can't help but think that the Everton result vs Arsenal had everything to do with this move. They may want a familiar face. Someone that is familiar with the plight of a relegation battle. A manager who fully understands the ingredients necessary to survive in the Premier League. This is the Sean Dyche effect."
Maurico Pochettino named by Leeds United supporters as possible Jesse Marsch replacement
Leeds United supporters have suggested Mauricio Pochettino and Rafa Benitez as possible replacements for Jesse Marsch after the Whites head coach was sacked by the club. The American has been relieved of his duties after defeat to Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
The Whites are in the midst of a torrid run of form, winless in the Premier League since the beginning of November. Leeds defeated Bournemouth 4-3 at Elland Road, but haven't won in the top flight since.
The Leeds hierarchy have already started the search for a new head coach. Former Leeds United assistant Carlos Corberan has been linked with a return to Elland Road.

Leeds United's damning reality that saw Jesse Marsch dismissed
Leeds United’s Premier League slump has been alarming and the numbers do outgoing head coach Jesse Marsch absolutely no favours, following his dismissal. The Whites made the decision to part ways with the head coach on Monday afternoon following Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
It was a frustrating afternoon of the highest order, leaving the Whites perched precariously on the very brink of the relegation zone on the back of a winless run of league games to seven. That’s a run Leeds have picked up just three points in, slipping from 12th to 17th as Sunday’s performance failed to provide the traction Marsch’s side had been searching for.
However, it’s the longer-term numbers that will have provided the real cause for concern and to fully comprehend Leeds’ predicament, minds must be cast back to the start of the season. More specifically, we must look at the situation United found themselves following the conclusion of matchweek three.
