Here are your Leeds United evening headlines on Thursday, April 14.
Greenwood makes Marsch admission
Leeds United striker Sam Greenwood has admitted that Jesse Marsch's style of football suits him better than how Marcelo Bielsa set up his side. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Whites, featuring five times across all competitions, grabbing two assists.
He was influential in the Whites' 3-2 comeback with over Wolverhampton Wanderers last month, setting up Rodrigo's equaliser. Greenwood also played an important role in teeing up Jack Harrison at Watford.
Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Greenwood stated that Marsch's style of pressing suits him down to the ground as it enables him to show his 'aggression' to win the ball back.

"I think I suit this style of play a bit more to be honest," said Greenwood. "With Bielsa it was man to man but with this style you don’t have to stay with the man, basically you can stay in between two men and if it goes to the left side you can all go as a team.
"Instead of focusing on one guy so much you can jump to a different man and that suits me to a tee basically. I love showing pressing and aggression off the ball."
Poveda injury update
Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray is hopeful that Leeds United winger Ian Poveda could return to the club next week. Poveda has been back at Thorp Arch in the last few months undergoing rehabilitation on his left ankle after he suffered a fracture and ligament damage in a 1-1 draw with Bristol City in November.
Poveda signed a season long loan deal with Rovers last summer in a quest for regular game time but suffered the injury just as he was finding some form. Blackburn have continued to honour the contributions that the two clubs agreed last summer and therefore Mowbray is keen to get him back to the club with a view to him playing some part in the run in.
Rovers currently sit seventh in the Championship, just two points adrift of the top six, meaning Poveda could still have a big part to play in the final few games of the season. Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Mowbray is confident that Poveda will be involved before the conclusion of the campaign.
He said: “No, I don’t think so. I spoke to Leeds yesterday. He’s on the training ground working hard, he hasn’t played any football yet in terms of games, and between Leeds, the boy and ourselves we’ll decide whether he comes and gets involved for the last few weeks of the season with us
“We’ll then have to assess how he looks on the grass and whether we think he could help us or not. We’re still paying our contribution towards his salary so if he’s fit then he should be back and we’ll try and negotiate that he comes back next week.”
Morison on Drameh
Cardiff City manager Steve Morison has claimed he would love to have Leeds United defender Cody Drameh back next season but has acknowledged competition will be stiff. Drameh joined the Bluebirds on loan in January and has been excellent for Morison’s side, even earning a nomination for the club’s player of the year award.
Drameh has made 16 appearances in total, chipping in with three assists. He has set up goals against Peterborough United, Blackpool and Stoke City and has also helped Morison's side to five clean sheets in that time.
Speaking to Wales Online, Morison revealed that he has already fielded calls from managers higher up in the Championship about Drameh and fellow loanee Tommy Doyle. Given his performances, Leeds may look to keep him for next season in the Premier League, although Morison would love to have him back in South Wales if the opportunity arises.
He said: "He is one who can go out on loan again next season, I think he needs it. A full season would be great. Yeah, if we are in that market and we are someone he would want to come to then we would be open to that."
