Here are the latest evening Leeds United headlines for Wednesday, May 10.
Joelinton boost
Sam Allardyce's first time in the home dugout at Elland Road will see him square off against his former side Newcastle United. The Magpies suffered a rare home defeat in their latest outing against Arsenal, but remain in the hunt for a top-four finish.
The sides played out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture in December. Eddie Howe's side have received a training boost ahead of the televised encounter on Saturday, with Joelinton pictured participating in the session.

The former record signing was substituted in the 81st minute of the defeat to the Gunners and appeared to be nursing an ankle injury. However, a training gallery released on the club's website on Wednesday appears to show Joelinton completing the session without any concerns.
Radrizzani report
Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has 'already withdrawn' from a prospective takeover bid at Inter Milan. That is according to Inter Live via Sport Witness, with suggestions the asking price for the cash-strapped Serie A giants has deterred the Italian businessman.
Radrizzani has been strongly linked with a buyout of the Champions League semi-finalists in recent weeks. The 48-year-old was reported to be considering a sale of his shares at Elland Road, before forming a consortium to complete a takeover at Inter.
However, Radrizzani has now been distanced from a blockbuster deal, with the latest report suggesting the Investcorp fund are the only potential buyers left in the running. The latest news comes as the well-documented proposed takeover by minority shareholders 49ers Enterprises hangs in the balance, as the Whites fight to preserve their Premier League status.

Shackleton's goodbye
Jamie Shackleton has returned to Leeds United where he faces an uncertain summer, following the completion of his loan at Millwall. The midfielder spent the entire campaign in the Championship with the south Londoners, making 37 appearances in all competitions and helping Gary Rowett’s side compete for a play-off spot for much of the season.
Unfortunately for Millwall, their hopes of winning promotion to the Premier League were dashed on Monday as a 4-3 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at The Den ensured they missed out on a place in the top six. As a result, Shackleton’s spell with the Lions has come to an end and he will now return to Elland Road, where his future is every much unclear.
The 23-year-old has just one more year left to run on his current contract with the Whites at present and with game time being far from guaranteed, irrespective of what division United find themselves in next season, it seems both the club and the player could have a decision to make. Shackleton’s agent Hayden Evans has already suggested a move away from his boyhood club might be on the cards this summer and the player will be considering his options over the coming weeks and months.
Before his future comes into focus, though, Shackleton has taken the time to thank Millwall and underline his belief that the club can compete for a spot in the top flight next time around.
