Here are the latest Leeds United morning headlines on Tuesday, 25 October 2022.
Marsch
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch is set to be in charge for Saturday's trip to Liverpool, according to the Mail Online. They do claim, however, that the club's board is concerned over their recent winless run of eight matches and are seeking an improvement in results in the short term if he is to save his job.
Marsch is coming increasingly under fire from the club's supporters, with them making their feelings clear from the stands in each of their last two matches against Leicester City and Fulham. Leeds face trips to Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as a home match against Bournemouth before the World Cup break, and a continuation of their poor form could bring an end to his reign.
Villa
Aston Villa have appointed Unai Emery as the club's new head coach following Steven Gerrard's departure last week. The Villains are three points above Leeds United following their win over Brentford at the weekend.

The Whites on the other hand slipped into the relegation zone following defeat to Fulham at Elland Road. Pressure is beginning to mount on Jesse Marsch with no wins in their last eight games.
Villareal boss Emery will take over from November 1st after his work permit formalities are completed. The Spaniard won the Europa League beating Manchester United in the final in 2021 and lead the La Liga outfit to the Champions League last season.

That said, the Argentine's last week brought matches against Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, a considerably tougher run than what Marsch has faced recently. Excluding the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, Leeds have faced a spell of fixtures against sides, on paper, they will have fancied a decent return of points from.
