Here are the latest Leeds United evening headlines on Thursday, 30 June.
Brugge eye potential CDK replacement
Club Brugge are reportedly eyeing a move for Sochaux attacker Alan Virginius as a potential replacement for Leeds United-linked Charles de Ketelaere. That is according to Le10Sport, who claim the Ligue 2 side are ready to cash in on Virginius as he enters the final year of his contract.
Brugge are set to face competition from Newcastle United and Bayer Leverkusen for the 19-year-old, who like de Ketelaere, can play both up front or out wide. Leeds and AC Milan are both strongly interested in the de Ketelaere, and so the Belgian side appear to be making plans over having to replace him.

Phillips medical
Despite relative quiet in recent days, Kalvin Phillips’ move to Manchester City is edging closer with a medical ‘pencilled in’ for Friday and personal terms unlikely to cause any hiccups. The Premier League champions secured a deal with Leeds United last Friday after agreeing an initial fee of around £45million with £5million add-ons.
The deal will also see Manchester City midfielder Darko Gyabi come the other way for around £5million, with the 18-year-old likely to join the under-21s initially. The lack of noise regarding personal terms during the week that followed suggests that talks are progressing relatively smoothly, with City the desired destination for Phillips.

Barca cash
Barcelona are set to receive a major cash injection after agreeing a deal with global investment firm Sixth Street for the sale of 10% of the Club’s LaLiga TV rights for the next 25 years. The Spanish giants will receive a total cash injection of €267 million over the course of the upcoming season by the American company, who will initially invest €207.5 million.
This could have major implications in their pursuit of Raphinha, who is one of their top targets this summer. Their financial woes have so proved to be a major barrier between themselves and a deal for the Leeds United star, with Chelsea having jumped to the front of the queue after agreeing a fee on Tuesday.
