Chris Armas finally leaves Elland Road after short tenure
The Athletic claims Chris Armas has finally left Elland Road after one of the strangest appointments in the club's recent history. The American was brought to Leeds United to become Jesse Marsch's assistant manager, just 12 days before the head coach was sacked.
Armas was left without a meaningful role after Javi Gracia's arrival in Yorkshire, with Sam Allardyce taking over the reins. There has been no suggestion the American will be part of the new coaching set-up at Leeds, unlike goalkeeping coach Marcos Abad.
The report claims Armas is back in the US and the two parties have officially parted company and ended his employment.

Eddie Howe has warned Leeds United his Newcastle side will come back firing after drawing a blank in their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend. The Magpies were frustrated by Mikel Arteta's side, who condemned the Toon to just their second defeat on home soil this season.
The defeat to the Gunners means Newcastle have just a three point gap to Liverpool in fifth, but have played a game less than Jurgen Klopp's men. The race for the Champions League spots looks set to head to the wire and the Magpies will arrive at Elland Road next weekend looking to ease and fears of dropping out of the top-four.
Leeds themselves know a win against Newcastle would be a huge result in the fight against the drop, but the worst defence in the Premier League will need to pull out all the stops.
Newcastle rocked by Sean Longstaff injury doubts heading into Leeds United clash
Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff is a doubt for next weekend's clash with Leeds United. The Magpies academy graduate has been one of the standout performers for Eddie Howe's side this season and is a key component in Newcastle's high octane midfield.
The Geordie picked up a foot injury in their 4-1 win over Everton last month and has been unable to train. The Magpies midfielder is set to see a foot specialist to determine whether of not he'll feature in any of their remaining fixtures.
Howe told Chronicle Live : "Sean’s been an integral part of our midfield, and I think when you take him out, we lose a bit of balance. I think the balance of the team has been so impressive, and Sean does a really important job both in and out of possession for us."
Leeds United's Sam Allardyce hailed a 'leader' by former Bolton Wanderers star Radhi Jaidi
Former Bolton Wanderers defender Radhi Jaidi has hailed Leeds United's interim head coach Sam Allardyce as a "leader" after he backed the 68-year-old to unite the squad in their fight against relegation.
Allardyce replaced Javi Gracia with the Whites above the relegation zone on goal difference alone. Leeds will be looking for the 68-year-old to maintain his record as somewhat of a survival specialist as they hope to retain their Premier League status for the 2023/24 season.
And Jaidi, who played under Allardyce at Bolton for two seasons, believes that the new Leeds coach is the perfect man for the job.
