The teenager starred for Leeds on a number of occasions during pre-season, and impressed on the club's tour Down Under in the summer.

He spent several months on the sidelines with a toe injury, but has been named in the first squad four times in the Premier League this season.

The 17-year-old is still awaiting his competitive debut, but Evans believes Gray's career is on track at Elland Road.

“It’s really early for Archie, there’s no frustration, pressure that he’s not getting minutes in the first team. It is complimentary to be involved in the squad at that age, it is good that manager thinks of him,” Evans told The Athletic’s Phil Hay podcast.

“Training with the first team. Everything is on track. He’s committed his medium-future to Leeds, and there was a lot of interest from bigger clubs – and clubs on the continent. But Leeds is where he wants to be."

Max Wober to be assessed ahead of Liverpool amid Javi Gracia's injury concern

Javi Gracia says Max Wober will be assessed in training over the next couple of days to determine whether he will be available to face Liverpool on Monday night.

Wober has been out since the international break after sustaining a hamstring injury during Austria's 4-1 win over Azerbaijan in March.

Leeds have conceded 10 goals in three games in his absence, but Gracia could not confirm whether he will mark his return when Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Elland Road.

Liverpool's double injury concern ahead of Leeds United trip as Jurgen Klopp provides latest

Luis Diaz looks set to be involved for Liverpool when they travel to face Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday night, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. The return of Diaz comes as a huge boost for Liverpool, who haven’t won a game since beating Manchester United 7-0 at the start of March.

Diaz hasn’t been seen in a Liverpool shirt since picking up a knee injury in October, missing almost six months of Premier League action. His absence in the attacking line has been felt by the Reds, but Klopp will hope his return can be timely as the club target qualification for Europe.

The Colombian winger’s fitness isn’t good news for Leeds, though, as they look to bounce back from hammering at the hands of Crystal Palace and bolster their hopes of Premier League survival.
