Here's a round up of the latest Leeds United headlines for July 26, 2022.
'No-brainer' for Davis to swap Leeds for Ipswich
Leif Davis says it was a 'no-brainer' to join Ipswich Town from Leeds United. The 22-year-old joined the League One outfit on Monday for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £1 million.
The left-back didn't feature heavily the the Whites' tour of Australia, perhaps indicating that his future lay elsewhere.
"I'm delighted to be here," Davis told Ipswich Town's in-house media. "I think it was the best step for my career at this time - coming in playing games, helping the team get back up the ladder, and keep on striving to get up the leagues.
"It's a new chapter for me. I'm always looking to learn and being here is a great thing for me. Before I went to Australia (with Leeds for pre-season), I spoke to the manager (Kieran McKenna) and he has high expectations, which is good.
"I was really happy when I spoke to him and the things he had planned for me if I came here. It was a no-brainer for me. It was a great experience being out in Australia with Leeds, but the last few days was more focused on being back here and getting ready to get started at Ipswich."

Tougher sanctions for misbehaving Leeds fans
The FA, Premier League and EFL are introducing new measures and stronger sanctions to tackle the increased anti-social and criminal behaviours that will apply to Leeds United fans and supporters across the country next season.
The changes, which the Football Supporters’ Association has backed, will target activities such as entering the pitch without permission, carrying or using smoke bombs or pyrotechnics and throwing objects - as well as drug use and discriminatory behaviour.
Other measures to be implemented include working with clubs to enhance search regimes and increasing the use of sniffer dogs at grounds. The Premier League also aims to work with all stakeholders on social media platforms to actively discourage further growth and acceptance of these behaviours and remove videos online of illegal fan behaviour at football matches.
Spanish media hail instant Raphinha impact
The La Liga season may still be just under three weeks away, but Raphinha has made a telling statement in his opening two games for Barcelona following his move from Leeds United.
The El Clasico was transported to the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ when two Spanish heavyweights collided in Las Vegas on Saturday. Despite all the world-class talent on show, it was Raphinha who stole the headlines. ‘Sensation Raphinha’ was the simple yet striking headline ran by AS, while Marca raved at the sight of a performance which as they described ‘bordered on excellence’.
A debut goal and two assists in Barca’s 6-0 drubbing of an inferior Inter Miami was hardly anything out of the ordinary, but his rocket from range in the El Clasico was the ultimate way to endear himself to his new fanbase.
