Leeds United will still have an interim management team in place when they take on Everton at Goodison Park this Saturday.
The two sides will go head-to-head in a relegation six-pointer after a disappointing first half of the season left both languishing near the foot of the table.
Their shared woes have resulted in the sackings of Frank Lampard and Jesse Marsch, but while the former has already been replaced at Everton by Sean Dyche, the search for a new Leeds boss is set to rumble on for longer.

A statement from the Yorkshire club said: "Leeds United can confirm Michael Skubala will continue to lead the men’s first team for the club’s upcoming fixtures. Paco Gallardo and Chris Armas will carry on supporting Michael, alongside the backroom team already in place.
"Skubala, Gallardo and Armas have overseen two positive performances over the last week against Manchester United and will lead training ahead of this weekend’s Premier League game against Everton at Goodison Park."
Since Marsch was relieved of his duties, Leeds have faced Manchester United twice in the Premier League, earning a credible 2-2 draw at Old Trafford before going down 2-0 at Elland Road in the reverse fixture four days later.
In contrast, new Blues boss Dyche kicked off his Goodison tenure with a brilliant 1-0 victory at home to league leaders Arsenal before suffering a 2-0 away loss at local rivals Liverpool on Monday evening.
Skubala will bring his team and interim management trio to Goodison Park on Saturday in 17th place, just one point above Everton, who currently occupy the top position in the relegation zone.
