Leeds United loanee Joe Gelhardt has been given his full debut by Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray as the Black Cats travel down to London to face Millwall at The Den this afternoon.
The 20-year-old left Elland Road last week as Sunderland tried to bolster their depth in the striker position after the departure of Ellis Simms back to Everton.
However, following an injury to top goalscorer Ross Stewart against Fulham in their F.A fourth round, Gelhardt is left as the club's only out-and-out striker after they failed to find a quick deal in the last days of the transfer window.
