Lewis Bate's Oxford United defeated League One promotion candidates Ipswich Town 2-1 at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.
Ipswich had been battling Plymouth Argyle in the race for the League One title for the majority of the season. However, they have since been replaced in the automatic promotion slots by Sheffield Wednesday, and fell seven points behind the top two following their defeat.
Stuart McKinstry registered an assist to help guide Motherwell into the next round of the Scottish FA Cup. He set up Mikael Mandron for the opener, before the Frenchman doubled his tally to inflict a 2-0 defeat on hosts Arbroath.
Rotherham United won 4-0 against Blackburn Rovers on Leo Hjelde's debut, and his second game saw the Millers earn a creditable 1-1 draw against promotion-chasers Watford at Vicarage Road. Matt Taylor's men have amassed four points from their last two games, and have climbed five points clear of danger as a result.

Tyler Roberts started his fourth consecutive league match for Queens Park Rangers, as they registered a third draw on the bounce in the Championship, and a fourth stalemate in five league games. Jamal Lowe fired the R's ahead, before Jay Fulton equalised for Swansea City at Loftus Road.
