Leeds United will receive at least £484,000 in compensation from FIFA for allowing their players to represent their countries during the group stages of the 2022 World Cup.
The Premier League paused for six weeks on Sunday, as FIFA prepare to host the World Cup during the winter for the first time in the history of the tournament.
Over 100 players from 20 Premier League clubs are heading to Qatar, and FIFA will pay around £8,500 per player, per day. There will be six days of training before the tournament and a 13-day group stage meaning each player will earn their club a total of £161,500 over the 19 days.
