Leeds United's bad luck with injuries continued as new signing Max Wober was forced off with injury in their FA Cup third-round replay with Cardiff City.
The Austrian defender was making his first start for Jesse Marsch's side since his switch from Red Bull Salzburg earlier in the January transfer window, following two substitute appearances in the first FA Cup game, and last week's Premier League defeat to Aston Villa.
But, with the home side 3-0 up and heading for a place in the fourth round, Wober was forced to come off after picking up what looked like a blow to hip in a challenge with Cardiff's Kion Etete. Luke Ayling replaced the 24-year-old.
Marsch will be hoping the injury is not too serious, with captain Liam Cooper suffering from a knee injury which ruled him out of the Cardiff replay. It remains to be seen if Wober is able to play in Sunday's big Premier League clash with Brentford at Elland Road.
The centre-back could was signed to bring a new dynamic to the Leeds side, with the 24-year-old potentially being the piece to solve their defensive woes.
Wober has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Salzburg and Austria, scoring twice for his old side before making the switch to the Premier League.
In better news for Marsch, Patrick Bamford continued his recovery from injury with a second-half appearance, scoring the fourth and fifth goals, while Luis Sinisterra also came off the bench late on.
