Here are your latest Leeds United evening headlines from Friday, July 29.
Marsch 'a big admirer' of striker
Jesse Marsch is reportedly a big admirer Atlas forward Julian Quinones. According to Foot Mercato, the 25-year-old is very popular with Marsch, and could be available for just £4.2 million.
Leeds are looking at alternatives to Charles De Ketelaere. The Whites have been linked with the Belgian striker all summer, but he is close to joining AC Milan.
Quinones, who was named the 2021/22 Liga MX player of the season, could be an option for Marsch, and the striker search continues.
Cagliari clash key for Bamford
Having missed much of last season through injury, Patrick Bamford's workload during Leeds' pre-season tour of Australia was managed. The striker made just nine appearances in the Premier League last season.

However, the start of the Premier League season is now just over a week away with Wolves due to travel to Elland Road on August 6 and as he pushes to be fit and sharp enough for the season opener, he will be eyeing Sunday’s clash with Cagliari as another opportunity to pick up valuable minutes. Jesse Marsch is expected to name something close to his strongest side against the Serie B visitors, and that means supporters should be able to see Bamford line up from the start.
Ipswich boss says Davis 'ticks all the boxes'
Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has claimed Leif Davis ‘ticks all the boxes’ following his arrival from Leeds United on Monday. Davis ended his four-year stay at Elland Road by putting pen-to-paper on a three-year-deal with the Tractor Boys.
At 22, Davis is now in desperate need of regular game time in order to aid his development; he made just 14 senior appearances for Leeds, before playing 15 matches on loan at Bournemouth last season. That said, Davis has shown some promising signs in the first team games he has played and is a significant coup for a League One side.
Via quotes from TWTD, McKenna said: “[I am] Very happy with him as a signing. He’s someone that we’ve watched a lot and know, we think, very well.
“He ticks all the boxes that we’re looking for, really good age, lots of room to grow and improve, hungry to establish his career now and get a run of games and see what level he can hit."
