Here are the latest Leeds United headlines for Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Pre-season friendly
Eight years after their last visit to Norway, Leeds United will return to the Scandinavian stronghold for a pre-season friendly with Manchester United this summer. The Whites will play the Red Devils on Wednesday, July 12 at 5pm local time in Oslo's Ullevaal Stadium.
More pre-season dates and friendlies will be announced in due course, the club has said. Speaking about the announcement, executive director Paul Bell said: “We are really pleased to have secured this fixture against Manchester United, especially for the Leeds United fans in Norway.

“The Leeds United Supporters Club of Scandinavia (LUSCOS) has over 8,000 members, many of whom regularly travel over to England to see Leeds United play at home and away, so everyone is looking forward to the experience of playing in Oslo.”
Tickets in the designated Leeds United section will only be available to purchase via the club's official online ticketing site tickets.leedsunited.com. Match tickets will go on sale online on Friday, May 26 at 1pm (BST) to Leeds United season ticket holders and members.
Tickets will be limited to one ticket per supporter and issued on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are priced at 1075 NOK (around £79).
Tottenham injury blow
Tottenham will be without Eric Dier for their final match of the season at Leeds United after the defender underwent groin surgery this week. Centre-back Dier has not started Spurs' last three fixtures, having virtually been an ever-present during a difficult campaign for the club.
During that time, Spurs kept one clean sheet, against Crystal Palace, but conceded twice to Aston Villa and three times to Brentford last weekend. It's a huge game for the hosts, of course, with Leeds needing to win to give themselves any chance of staying in the Premier League.
Dier was also left out of Gareth Southgate's England squad on Wednesday for next month's internationals and it has now been revealed he has had surgery.
"We can confirm that Eric Dier has undergone groin surgery this week and will, therefore, be unavailable for our final game of the season, away to Leeds United on Sunday afternoon," a club statement read.
"The defender will commence rehabilitation with our medical staff before joining up with the squad ahead of the start of pre-season."
Jordan's Leeds blast
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has not held back with his assessment of Leeds United's Premier League campaign. The ex-Eagles chief has taken aim at Andrea Radrizzani for his approach to hiring and firing managers and has questioned the finances behind the recent appointment of Sam Allardyce.
Jordan wrote in his Daily Mail column: "Leeds have been a rudderless ship, with everyone seemingly pulling in different directions and distracted by different agendas. Maybe going down will clear up this mess because what has been going on is as clear as mud.
"So while this is nothing like the s*** storm Leeds faced back in 2004, they have turned themselves into a self-inflicted disaster zone. From allowing Bielsa to go on too long when his approach had run its race, to appointing Jesse Marsch on the basis that what worked in the uncompetitive leagues of Germany and Austria would work in the Premier League."
