Tony Dorigo hails Pascal Struijk Leeds United equaliser against Real Sociedad
Former Leeds United defender Tony Dorigo has hailed Pascal Struijk after the Dutchman scored a spectacular equaliser against Real Sociedad in the Whites' 2-1 Friday night friendly win at Elland Road.
Teed up by midfielder Marc Roca on 16 minutes after Leeds had gone 1-0 down thanks to a Martin Zubimendi header for La Real, Struijk unfurled a sublime strike from outside the box to equalise for the Whites.
The 23-year-old was once again turning out at left-back, a position he has been forced into playing this term due to fitness concerns around Junior Firpo.

Despite being a centre-back by trade, Struijk has impressed so far this term in the position, earning praise from Dorigo, who was on LUTV co-comms duty for the Real Sociedad friendly.
Dorigo said: "Pascal, he really has been tremendous this season, having to play at left-back, we know how good his defensive qualities are.
"Going forward I think he has just got better and better and here, well, this is the shot of a centre half. No messing about, no fancy curling it in the top corner, give it a thump. What a goal. Brilliant strike."
