Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch visited the San Francisco 49ers’ minicamp this week, ahead of a busy summer at Elland Road. Marsch was in Leeds on Wednesday to welcome Rasmus Kristensen following his £10million move from RB Salzburg, and now looks to be spending some time back in the USA before a busy pre-season.
The NFL team’s official Twitter account posted a video on Friday of the Whites boss in conversation with a host of 49ers’ staff, including general manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan, defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, plus the team's veteran kicker Robbie Gould. Marsch is well-known to use elements from other sports within his coaching and no doubt will have been picking up information from the coaching staff throughout the day.
The NFL side’s holding company, 49ers Enterprises, owns a 44% stake at Leeds United alongside Andrea Radrizzani’s 56% while Paraag Marathe sits on the club’s board of directors.

Marsch will no doubt be back in West Yorkshire soon, hopefully to pose for more photographs with new signings. Leeds will begin their preseason training soon ahead of their trip to Australia, with the first match against Brisbane Roar on Thursday, July 14.
A full preseason should give the Whites boss time to implement his style, and it could well see some of the advice discussed during today’s trip to San Francisco put into action.
