Leeds United have been handed a major boost in their quest to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo.
United have been linked with the France U21 international after missing out on Charles de Ketelaere, who joined Serie A champions AC Milan.
The Whites have already made eight signings this summer – adding Spanish goalkeeper Joel Robles to their squad on Tuesday.
French Football News report that PSG are looking to sign a new striker and claim that Antero Henrique has been tasked with fast-tracking the sale of Kalimuendo.

Media Foot Marseille reported last week that Leeds made an offer in the region of £16.7m, although PSG value the 20-year-old at around £21m.
Leeds will face competition for Kalimuendo, with OGC Nice and Stade Rennes also reportedly in conversation with regards to a move for his signature this summer.
Kalimuendo has spent the last two seasons on loan at RC Lens – scoring 21 goals and providing six assists in 65 appearances.
He has played just three times for PSG in Ligue 1 and was given a six-minute cameo from the bench in their 4-0 victory over FC Nantes in the Trophee des Champions in July.
