Leeds United fans have called on Jesse Marsch to make four changes for tomorrow’s clash with Brighton at Elland Road, including a start for Joe Gelhardt. The Whites are in desperate need of three points as they look to move out of the relegation zone and above Burnley, who have a game in hand.
Leeds’ drop off in form, all be it against three of the best sides in the division, has come at the worst possible time with both Burnley and Everton putting strong runs together. And that means the pressure is well and truly on Jesse Marsch’s side on Sunday, with supporters urging him to return to a four-man defence.
Marsch started with Raphinha and Pascal Struijk as his wing backs against Chelsea, which in truth, did not work out at all. Jamie Shackleton and Junior Firpo are the fans’ chosen options on either side of the defence in a back four, with Diego Llorente and Liam Cooper in the middle.

Lewis Bate was handed his full Premier League debut in midweek, but Mateusz Klich has been backed to return alongside Kalvin Phillips to add some more experience to the side. Raphinha and Jack Harrison, who Marsch yesterday confirmed were both likely to be fit, are the two in behind the strikers due to Daniel James’ suspension.
And up front, fans would like to see Gelhardt and Rodrigo Moreno start together for the first time. Gelhardt leading the line would free up Rodrigo to pick up the ball in dangerous areas behind the Brighton midfield, something which he was unable to do against Chelsea as started up front on his own.
Leeds fans’ XI (4-2-2-2): Meslier; Shackleton, Llorente, Cooper, Firpo; Phillips, Klich; Raphinha, Harrison; Rodrigo, Gelhardt
