'Roll of the dice' Leeds United fans split over transfer developments as Takumi Minamino linked

The January transfer window is entering its' final days and the subject is ripe for debate on social media.

Many Leeds United supporters feat that the club could miss an opportunity to strengthen the squad during the current transfer window, while others are keen to avoid panic buys.

Fans are well aware of how injuries have ripped through Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team squad already this season and viewed this month as the chance to restock the depleted options at his disposal.

However, it looks increasingly unlikely that any new recruits will come through the door at Elland Road between now and Monday evening’s deadline.

There have been links to players such as Brenden Aaronson and Takumi Minamino but the pursuit of the former looks set to continue in the summer while Liverpool hardly have a wealth of squad depth themselves.

With the Athletic reporting that no third bid is on the cards for Aaronson this month, Leeds supporters have been debating the window and how the final few days could look.

While Bielsa’s side have been able to establish a seven-point gap between themselves and the bottom three, there are worries amongst the supporters about the possibility of relegation.

Many feel that injuries to players like Raphinha and Illan Meslier would put Leeds in real danger with other key men like Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford already out of action.

Here is what some of those fans have had to say on Twitter.

Despite much of the response to the news being understandably quite negative, there were also a number of people preferring to take a more positive view of the situation at the club.

The transfer window closes on Monday evening, with Leeds United back in action on the pitch on Wednesday, February 9, when they take on Aston Villa at Villa Park.
