Leeds United faithful give seal of approval to Jesse Marsch's first Elland Road lineup

Jesse Marsch has brought Adam Forshaw back into the starting XI for the visit of Aston Villa in his only change from the defeat at Leicester City.

The new Whites boss will be taking charge of his first home game and has named a slightly different team the one that lost 1-0 at Leicester on Saturday.

The 30-year-old will come into the midfield in place of Mateusz Klich who is the only player to drop out that started at the weekend.

After sustaining a hamstring injury that has brought an abrupt end to his season, Tyler Roberts has been replaced by the returning Diego Llorente on the bench.

Marsch will be desperate for his first win as manager in his first taste of action at Elland Road.

Despite coming away empty-handed, he was impressed by what he saw from his team at King Power Stadium and a repeat performance would surely see the six-game losing streak come to an end.

In the build-up to the game, fans called for Forshaw, Joe Gelhardt and Diego Llorente to come into the side but only one has been trusted with a starting berth.

Patrick Bamford is still only fit enough for a place on the bench but fans will be excited for his return after Marsch claimed that he will play some part against Steven Gerrard’s side.

Here is what a few supporters had to say in response to the team news on social media.
