Met Office said: "Early low cloud gradually lifting and breaking up to give some bright or sunny spells, especially inland. Windy, locally gusty. Feeling cooler than on Wednesday. Cloud and rain arriving overnight. Maximum temperature 13 °C."

It will be a cloudy start to the day for the city, with sun breaking out from midday. Sunny intervals are forecast from 12pm, with the cloud disappearing turning into a sunny day from 1pm until 3pm.
Leeds is forecast sunny intervals until 6pm, before turning cloudy for the remainder of the evening.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Early rain clearing Friday, followed by slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms, with hail risk. Staying unsettled, with rain or showers Saturday and Sunday, heavy and possibly thundery on Sunday.
