A Leeds busker and TikTok star shared their "disgusting" experience in the city centre after a "real busker" gave him brutal feedback about his live performing.
Matt Johnson is a Leeds student who loves to sing and write songs. The 20-year-old performs his music in Leeds city centre, and can often be spotted outside of Trinity shopping centre singing ballads.
Known as @mattjohnson.music on TikTok, he has been seen performing from the likes of Harry Styles, east Yorkshire's Callum Scott, Adele and more. Fans have branded him "awesome", "amazing", and "unreal".

Last week the singer was given a £20 note by a passer-by for his performance of Falling Again by Harry Styles. His talent has been a driving force for him becoming quite popular on TikTok, raking in millions of views, and over 252,000 likes on his video clips.
While the Leeds resident continues to have success with his weekly busking sessions, he also shares the downsides to what can happen when performing in the street. In a recent video Matt shared, he shared a "horrible" encounter with an individual.
He said: "Today I was busking and a guy who was rude to me last year handed me a piece of paper. He was pretending to be nice, which confused me because of how he had been in the past."
In the video the passer-by said "that's for you", as he handed Matt a note. "I love your stuff it's f***ing amazing. I wish I could do that with a backing track. Amazing honestly it is."
Matt thanked the man and began reading the note, and the note writer can be heard shouting at him from down the street. Matt said: "When I read it I was in complete shock at how someone could be so horrible."
The note said 'buskers are supposed to cheer people up you depressing c***. Love from real busker x." The video raked in 2.2million views and over 188,500 likes.
Matt branded the act "disgusting", but thousands of people comforted him. Popular event singers The Function Band, known to perform at celebrity events, said: "There will always be haters, don't give them a second thought, you are amazing."
While @delihiious_body added: "Sorry you had to go through that - you're amazing and do not let him bring you down." @lyviamusicn said: "This hurt my heart to watch. You amazing soul. Backing you always Matt. Your voice is beautiful and I love hearing you sing, keeping shining."
@jackiekennedy111 added: "I'm sorry that happened. Always remember what people think of you or say to you is how they feel about themselves and they hate who they are." @peternesshead said: "You handled it really well, he's the one with the problem."
Since the incident Matt has shared the reason he "loves Leeds" and showcased the kind gestures made by the majority of people.
