Leeds Rhinos at full throttle with David Fusitu'a set for new position against Hull KR

Rohan Smith says Leeds Rhinos will go all out in their penultimate pre-season clash against Hull KR. Smith has named the strongest squad possible ahead of the trip to East Hull in what is likely to be the final outing for the club's senior players.

Though Leeds play Hunslet next week, that Rhinos squad is likely to feature younger members of Smith's roster, leaving this as the final chance to blow off the cobwebs for many before the round one clash with Warrington Wolves.

"We're going to field our strongest team and make a few less changes with a bit more cohesion and chemistry," Smith said. "We'll take it up a notch and I'm sure they will be."

The game will see David Fusitu'a finally make his first appearance of pre-season having missed the games against Wakefield Trinity, Leigh Leopards and Bradford Bulls. Coach Smith confirmed he would feature at centre as he continues to try out his backs in the position.

"Fus had a really good couple of weeks of training. We were hoping to get him some time against Leigh the other week but that didn't work out. He's got some miles in his legs and miles under his belt. He'll play centre this week so see how he finds that."
