Just one Leeds restaurant has made the National Restaurant Awards top 100 this year.
The Man Behind the Curtain, Vicar Lane, placed 61st in the much-anticipated awards which were announced in London yesterday. The surreally decorated restaurant, run by chef Michael O'Hare, serves lengthy tasting menus of small, avant-garde bites.
The guide described the Michelin-starred restaurant, where taster menus cost between £95 and £165, as: "the self-styled enfant terrible of the Northern restaurant scene."
